Moulana Ali Zarih Najaf

by Mulla Juzar Shaikh Yusuf bhai:

Abdullah bin Abbas narrates that I visited Rasulallah (SA) when he was at Aaisha‘s house. He was among his wives, when Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) arrived at the door and was permitted to enter.

On seeing him Rasulallah (SA) exclaimed: “Welcome O Abal Hasan, welcome my brother”, and raised his hand. Ali (AS) took Rasulallah’s (SA) hand and kissed on his forehead. Rasulallah (SA) then kissed on the forehead of Amirul Mumineen (AS) and seated him on his right and inquired, “Where are my children Hasan and Hussain?

Amirul Mumineen (AS) replied that, they have gone to Umme Salama‘s place looking for Rasulallah (SA).

It was then that we were told that, Usman, Umar, Abu Bakr and a few other companions of Rasulallah (SA) were at the door. They were granted permission to enter. The wives of Rasulallah (SA) scattered and left the room while the ashab entered, said the salaam and sat.

Then Abu Zar and Salman (RA) arrived and were permitted to enter. They came and paid homage saying salaam to Rasulallah (SA), each, in the same manner as Amirul Mumineen had done by kissing the forehead of the Prophet (SA). Abu Bakr and Umar made room for them to sit but they chose to sit by Ali’s (AS) side. To this Rasulallah (SA) exclaimed, “Both are sitting with whom they love and who loves them as well.”

It is then that Bilal arrived with Hasan (AS) and Hussain (AS). Looking at them Rasulallah (SA) said, “Welcome my loved ones and the children of my loved one”. He kissed their forehead and seated them before him. Then Hasan and Hussain stood and went to Aaisha. Rasulallah (SA) told her,:

O Aaisha, love both of them purely for Hasan and Hussain are the fruits of my heart. They are the masters of the youth of Paradise. He who loves them is loved by Allah and he who loathes them is loathed by Allah. He who loves both of them has loved me and he who has despised them has despised me. I can see what will happen to both of them, that which is destined in the knowledge of Allah. I can see them in heaven and their enemy in hellfire. By Him Who holds my soul, all who despise them will be hanged inverted (on their faces) by Allah in hellfire.

He then said that, “The hurmat of a Mumin is greater than that of the angels.”

Umar asked, “Even more than Jibra’eel?”

Rasulallah (SA) looked at Ali (AS) and said, “What do you say O Abal Hasan?”

He said, “More than the hurmat of Jibra’eel, Mika’eel, Israfeel, Hamalatul Ar’sh (the angels that carry Allah’s arsh) and Mala’ekat Muqarrabeen.”

To this Rasulallah replied, “True, my brother, my cousin.” Then he looked at us, says Abdullah bin Abbas, and said, “Allah has filled his heart with Eman (faith), Ilm (knowledge) and Fiqh (understanding). Anyone who is perplexed in matters of deen, shariat, faraidh and sunnat should approach Ali.” Then he took the hand of Amirul Mumineen and said, “O Ali he who loves you hath loved me and he who loves me hath loved Allah. He who hates you hath hated me and he who hates me hath hated Allah. He who curses you hath cursed me and he who curses me hath cursed Allah. You O Ali will fight the Nakiseen (the battle of Basra), Qasiteen (the battle of Siffeen) and Mariqeen (the kharijites) and those who are will oppose my sunnat.”

May Allah Subhanahu bless our Moula (TUS) with a Long life in the robe of health and fitness. Ameen.
