Moulana Ali Zarih Najaf

by Mulla Juzar Shaikh Yusuf bhai:

The obedience of Moulana Ali (AS), a way to paradise.

Abdullah bin Mas’ud (RA) narrates that I was with Rasulallah (SA) when suddenly he started to breathe deeply. I inquired “What is it, O Nai-allah?” He replied: “I have been informed of my near demise.” Abdullah says: “I asked him, will you not leave someone behind, a Khalifa, over us?”

Rasulallah (SA) exclaimed: “Who?” Abdullah said I began naming his companions, Abu Bakr, Umar, Usman, Talha, Zubair…. He (SA) did not utter a word until I reminded him of Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS). It was then that Rasulallah raised his head and looked at me, says Ibn Mas’ud (RA). He said, “I swear by Him who holds my soul, O Ibne Mas’ud, only if they would listen to Ali and obey him they would all enter paradise (Jannat), and none would remain.”

Note: Ibne Mas’ud is one of the notable companions (ashaab) of Rasulallah (SA) and one of the very first Muslims who had memorized the entire Qur’an during the lifetime of Rasulallah (SA). He was one of the closest companions of Amirul Mumineen (AS).
