Amirul Mumineen (AS) strikes iblis la’een

by Mulla Juzar Shaikh Yusuf bhai:
Ismail bin Abban narrates from Umme Salama, the wife of the Prophet (SA). She reports that she was with Rasulallah (SA) when he left from her house. He told her, “O Umme Salama, ask Ali when he comes to meet me at the mountain with these tools, and if Bilal arrives earlier then tell him to do so.”
Umme Salama recalls, “Ali (AS) was delayed and Bilal arrived. I told him that Rasulallah (SA) has ordered you to take this equipment to him at the cliff. Bilal went to fetch the tools when Amirul Mumineen (AS) arrived and I informed him as well.”
Bilal asked Amirul Mumineen (AS) to accompany him and soon they were on their way looking for Rasulallah (SA) at the mountain but they did not find him there. It was when they were searching for Rasulallah (SA) on the streets that they met a man leaning on his stick. He had a quilt on his shoulder and resembled a Shepard.
Amirul Mumineen (AS) asked him, “Have you seen Rasulallah (SA)?” He replied, “Does Allah have an Apostle (Rasul)?” Amirul Mumineen (AS) became furious. He picked up a stone and hit him. The stone hit his forehead, he screamed and suddenly the land was shadowed with men and horses. Then, two white birds arrived, one took to the right and the other took left and began to hit the arrivers till the darkness vanished.
Amirul Mumineen (AS) suggested Bilal that, “We should follow the birds as I think it knows where Rasulallah (SA) is. They followed the birds till they met Rasulallah (SA) who was approaching from the mountain”.
When Rasulallah (SA) saw Amirul Mumineen (AS) he smiled and said, “Why do you seem so nervous, O Ali?” Amirul Mumineen (AS) related what had happened.
Rasulallah (SA) said, “The man was Iblees La’een he was planning to trick you. The two birds are Jibra’eel and Meeka’eel, they were with me and arrived to your help when they heard the scream”.
